"That depends... do you think you can dress yourself?" Vergil asked, though he looked skeptic. If anything Dante would just end up hurting himself even more if he tried to do... anything. Heck, he'd just have to keep him in bed for a week or something, so he wouldn't break a leg next. Vergil highly doubted his brother would like that though.

Reaching down, Vergil grabbed Dante by his good arm, pulling him forward a bit so he could wrap an arm around his waist to help gather him up to stand. Trying to hold his brother off his bad ankle, he snatched the towel that had been tossed around to try and wrap it around Dante... it wasn't working too well. If anything he was only getting more wet and Dante was dripping everywhere. Plus, this was very awkward. Having his grown brother's naked body against him like this... he just hoped Dante would keep his mouth shut and not say anything about it.

Finally, Vergil decided to just pat his twin dry as best he could. If Dante didn't like it he could do it himself and hurt his arm for all he cared. After he was done, the towel was wrapped around Dante's lower half and secured for the time being.

"Don't you ever say I don't do anything for you." Vergil grumbled, as he helped Dante out the disaster that had become the bathroom, to his brother's bedroom. Not like that was any better of a place to go to. Managing to get through the mess on the floor he set Dante on his bed, helping him lay down. He'd find some clothes to put on him while he got comfy.

On a normal day, Dante would have flailed about in glee at having his brother pat him dry like this. Fortunately for both them, the younger twin was feeling like shit at the moment and wasn't in the mood to tease his brother about incest and what not. He did, however, have to admit that it felt nice to be babied like this. It was amazing how Vergil could go from cold and threatening one minute to quiet and loving the next. It was a very... odd ability. Dad used to be like that, Dante mused. Vergil always did take after him...

"Yeah, yeah," he grumbled sheepishly as he tried to stay still and not giggle like a girl. He couldn't help it, it wasn't his fault that he was a tad bit ticklish.

Getting through the absolute junkyard that was his own bedroom was... an interesting task, one that Dante did not enjoy. By the time Vergil was done half dragging and half carrying him, the younger twin's ankle was throbbing in protest and he happily snuggled into his covers as naked as the day he was born. Being a model and always having been shameless, the man grinned at his brother as he watched Vergil fish through his (extremely messy) closet. "You're so prudish, Ver, I really don't mind sleeping in my birthday suit," he said with a casual shrug and a teasing grin. He didn't know why his brother always insisted in being so... proper about everything. It wasn't like they didn't have the same bodies anyway.

Maybe once Dante dosed off he could fix up his dump of a room a bit. At least clean the floor up enough so people could walk on it. Honestly... what was so difficult about keeping one's room clean at least. The closet wasn't much better, Vergil was almost afraid of trying to pull anything out of it. The entirety of what was inside might crush him if he did.

"... fine Dante." he sighed, giving up about trying to clothe him. Closing the closet door, which took a few good shoves against it to keep it closed, he turned to see his twin all snuggled up. Just like a child. He'd never wanted children but living with Dante he might as well consider his brother one.

"Did you want an icepack for your ankle? I'm heading into the kitchen anyway." Vergil said offhandedly, making his way through the mess trying to get out of his twin's bedroom.

[ooc: LOL at the childrens comment. XDDD Dante is a big, 6'4 baby with a hot, responsible twin brother. Do we need another reason to love the twins so much? :3 Btw, I'm too lazy to sign on AIM. Go on MSN? XD]

"Ice would be nice," Dante mumbled into his pillow, feeling sleepy already. Careful not to upset his bad arm, he fished around his bed for the top of his covers and pulled the whole thing over himself, curling up even more until only the top of his white-haired head was visible. He almost dozed off entirely before he was jolted awake by Vergil returning --apparently, his normally graceful brother had tripped over something on the floor.

Grinning at the glare being shot his way, the younger twin suddenly sneezed. "...Fuck," he grunted, wrinkling his nose miserably. This night couldn't possibly get any worse --No, wait. It could. Vergil's patience seemed to be bipolar tonight and Dante was worried that if he did anything remotely wrong, his brother would just lose it and skin him alive. He had no idea how long this... babying habit was going to last.

Righting himself after his oh so graceful fall, he sat on the end of his brother's bed. Peeling back the covers over Dante's feet he took the injured ankle into his hands, massaging it gently. Really... he couldn't understand how someone could hurt themselves as much as his brother did. It was a miracle he could still make it in the modeling business with what he did to his body.

"I'm cleaning this room tomorrow whether you like it or not. Since I know you won't be much good doing it yourself." he grumbled, placing the icepack (wrapped in a dishtowel) on his brother's sore ankle. There was no need for it to be this messy. Only good thing about his brother being bruised and beaten like this was it would probably keep in bed or doing things that didn't make more messes in the house. Or he could hope.

Dante made a soft grunt of surprise and glanced at Vergil warily, though he didn't complain when his brother slowly massaged his foot. "You'll clean my room for me?" he repeated, eyes wide with surprise. He winced when he was shot another glare and pulled the covers over his head again. "Damn it, Ver, you know how much I hate being confined to bed!" he whined, his voice muffled through his blanket.

It seemed like his maturity was decreasing by the minute, though he was obviously enjoying his brother's attention. They rarely had moments like this where they weren't at each other's throats or, more often than not, Dante wasn't being beaten silly by Vergil's wrath (which usually took the form of his katana, Yamato.) It was... nice.

Dante briefly considered asking Vergil to sing but decided against it in case he was really suicidal. His brother did have a nice voice though, nicer than his. Vergil had always been the more artistic one.

"I don't see you doing it!" Vergil snapped at his twin, tossing the covers back over Dante's feet when the icepack was situated. Oh did he know how much Dante hated being stuck in his bed. Whenever he'd get sick Vergil had to force him to stay there, as he didn't want his twin infecting the entire house with his sickly germs. Maybe with his ankle being sore it'd actually keep his lazy bum in bed for once.

"Well maybe it'll keep you from trying to get yourself killed. And stop being such a baby... you're an adult, act like one." he said, getting up from the bed, careful to place his feet so he wouldn't fall again.

Dante made an annoyed sound at that but peeked his head out when he felt his brother's weight disappear from the bed. One of his hands shot out and latched on to Vergil's damp sleeve.

All joking aside, Dante suddenly seemed serious. "Ver... If I didn't come back today, what would you have done?"

The question surprised them both, but Dante needed to get it off his chest. That was why his brother was acting so strangely, right? He was half amused by Vergil's affection and half guilty for making him feel that way. Sometimes... Sometimes Vergil was a wall of ice, but on days like this Dante could read him like a book.

Glancing back at Dante, he looked surprised at the question. Vergil knew what he would have done... he would have searched every where for him, till he couldn't move anymore. Till there was no strength left in his body to look for him... and when he finally found him...

"..." Looking away from his brother, Vergil wasn't sure what to say at first.

"I would have looked for you... searched till I found you..." his voice was soft and low as he spoke, not use to barring his feelings like this. Feeling uncomfortable just saying that he almost didn't continue.

"... you're all I have left."

'You're all I have left.' Dante blinked and felt his mouth go dry. It was the second time that Vergil had said that in the last few hours, and he had no doubt that his brother meant it as seriously as he meant everything in life.

It was funny, really. That thought never once crossed Dante's own mind until Vergil hugged him down in the garage. After his accident, the younger twin had moved on reflex, dragging his broken body back to his bike and driving through the city with only one goal in mind --to get home. Why, though? He could have just as easily driven himself to the hospital.

Because... Because Vergil was waiting for me, Dante realized. That was the basis of everything he had done after he had woken up back in the alleyway. Maybe it was because they were twins, or maybe it was because they were orphans; whatever it was, the urge to get back to his brother overrode the urge to get help for himself.

Dante almost laughed. For all of Vergil's talk about being adults and what not, they still acted like a pair of kids clinging to each other as often as they did back when they were babies. With a powerful tug of his good arm, he pulled Vergil down for a good-natured hug. "You would have brought me back from the dead just to kill me again, wouldn't you?" he laughed softly into Vergil's neck.

A soft noise of surprise left him at being yanked down against his brother for a hug. Laying there silently for a moment he eventually let his head rest against Dante's shoulder gently. It did feel good to be held like this... it reminded him of being held by his father when he was younger.

"To hell and back... that's where I'd go to bring you back Dante..." he moved slightly more on the bed, as hanging half off the bed wasn't very comfortable at the moment.

As best as he could, Dante scooted himself over to make more room, pulling Vergil down with him until they were tangled in bed. He could hardly believe that his brother was letting him do this --on a normal day, he probably would have been stabbed and tossed out the window by now.

His grip on his brother tightened as he curled himself up in preparation for sleep. Vergil may not like that he was being used as an impromptu pillow, but the guy was just going to have to deal. Dante was far too comfortable to move. "Stay," he grumbled sleepily, to silence any protests his brother had. Their age be damned, they hadn't snuggled like this since they were... what? Seven? Dante was going to take this moment and milk it for all it was worth, damn it. We can go back to killing each other later. Preferably tomorrow.

Vergil couldn't believe he was letting this happen either, plus... he was in bed with his twin brother... who was naked. This whole situation was beyond strange. Glad that Dante was covered up, Vergil squirmed a bit, feeling odd about all this. He wasn't a very physical person, and being so close to his brother like this... it was making him uneasy.

"Dante... you do remember that you're naked..." he said, as if this was suppose to mean something significant. Well it did to him.

"And I'm soaking wet. Let me change at least." Vergil tried, attempting to get out of bed. To make an escape that is.

What the hell is he BABBLING about? the part of Dante that just wanted sleep demanded. He peeked open one groggy blue eye, rolled it at Vergil, then promptly buried his face in his brother's collarbone again. "Then get naked," he grumbled as if that solved everything in the world. He was only half awake and barely knew what he was saying, but the strength in his arms made it clear that the younger twin wasn't willing to let go anytime soon.

If his face didn't instantly turn red at his twin's words, then he sure felt like it was. Sitting up, so Dante was more in his lap now arms wrapped around his waist, Vergil whapped him on the head.

"I WILL DO NO SUCH THING!" Granted he wanted to be out of these sopping wet clothes, but he'd be damned if he undressed in front of his twin and curled up in bed with him naked. Not happening.

Dante's orientation was effectively shot to hell with his brother's movement and he groggily looked up just in time to get smacked. "OW!" he whined, too sleepy to retaliate, "Will you just shut up and let me SLEEP?" Deciding that if Vergil was going to be a bastard and sit up, he was just going to have to sleep in his lap for all he cared. (Not a bad position at all, a tiny part of him crowed.) With that thought, the younger twin tightened his arms around his brother's waist and snuggled into his thigh. "NIGHT, Ver," he said pointedly, too tired to try and argue.
