Yuuko dialed the number and listened to the ringing with no expression on her face. At her feet, Maru and Moro played idly with metal jacks and a bright blue rubber ball. Mokona was out and about the neighborhood somewhere.
Her two dear employees had the day off--Yuki had mentioned something about taking care of a new pet. She'd have to ask him about that later. Right now, she had very important business to attend to.
Zuko had been living with Yuki for three weeks now. He'd settled into the apartment and into the daily routine of the shop almost seamlessly. If you were willing to discount the constant bickering with Mokona and with Yuki.
When the other end of the line suddenly picked up with a cheerful greeting, Yuuko closed her eyes.
"Iroh-jii," she said softly. "I have news for you."
