Characters:: Count D (butterfly_cake) and anybody else who wishes to come to the shop
Date/Time:: January 19th
Location:: Count D's Pet Shop in Chinatown (Yes. Now there is a Chinatown. Is that one word or two? I can't find a definite answer online.)
Rating:: PG
Summary:: It's the grand opening of this upscale shop, and the start of D's third week in the city.

Today marked the start of his third week in this city, and D wasn't entirely sure what to think of it. It was certainly rather different from the last two cities he'd lived in (San Fransisco and Los Angeles, respectively), and he rather enjoyed the change. Chinatown wasn't too far from the park, after all, and D had been spending quite a bit of time on a quiet hilltop there as he got settled into his new place. It was beautiful there, and quiet. There was no litter on the ground and certainly no noisy Americans were following him around, accusing him of silly things that were absolutely true but which he'd never admit to.

Oddly enough, sometimes he found himself missing the noise and smog. It had become familiar to him, and this place was so lonely and strange. He knew nobody here (part of the reason he'd picked it), and so was just getting to know his neighbors. The lady next door was the person he knew best. She was a kindly old widow, managing a shop where she sold handmade goods such as fans and traditional Chinese clothing. She'd made the cheongsam he had on right now and D had been getting compliments on it all day as curious people came to see this new store.

At the moment though, his shop was empty and he sat alone on the extravagant sofa, sipping lightly as he tea as he waiting for something to do.
