Once Saber had been ushered in, it was not long after she was greeted by the familiar grin of the very one who had summoned her there.

"Good evening, Princess," he teased, his arms folded across his chest. "Ready to rock?"

Jerking at the nickname of Princess; her head whipped in the direction from where it came and pulled her equipment bag from over her shoulder and laying it on the floor gently, unzipping it and taking out her violin case, from that she took out her red wood violin. “Do you know how dangerous that was?!” she barked after the silence, turning to him, holding the violin by the neck in her right hand, jabbing the bow at him with her left hand. Blinking a few times, still in confusion of her reason of being in this place, she tilted her head to the side and asked him; “What in heaven’s name are you talking about?”

He couldn't help but laugh at her fussing. "Of course, I know," he commented. "That's one of the things that makes music so exciting in this town, the fact that it's verboten".

Casually taking her hand and placing it in the crook of his arm, he steered her into the waiting recording studio. "Just this," he replied as he handed her sheets of music.

"You were wondering why I've been holed up in my room, haven't you? Well, now you're about to find out."

“You should be verboten.” she snorted bluntly, rolling her eyes at his light-heartedness. It was as if he hardly cared…the only problem with it was that he didn’t care which made it an even worse problem than it needed to be.

Letting his hand take hers, not reacting much to it than a simple blush and grasp of his sleeve, she followed his lead. Taking the sheets of paper and eyeing them over, her expression changing from what looked to be aggravated to a dropped jaw. Lifting her eyes to him, back to the sheets, and than up to him again she nearly lost her words but managed to bring them back up. “You wrote these yourself?”

This is what he’s been doing…? she couldn’t help but feel bad for assuming farfetched reasons to why he had been hiding out. Softening her eyes, and her smile gaining more warmth, she chuckled as she spoke “You always know how to surprise me…this is wonderful. I’m speechless. I don’t know what to say.”

"Since Archer and Rin left, I had to do the work of three people," Gil explained. "Normally, this would have been done months ago."

Grinning, he reached up and ruffled her hair. "Say you'll accept," he said. "I wrote the violin parts specifically for
you to perform."

It was almost unreal. He had written songs specifically for her skill level and he wanted her to perform along side him? Not that it was odd; he had asked her to join the band but she refused telling him band life wasn’t her type of life style. Unusually, she did not push away his hand when he ruffled her hair, she instead stood there smiling even more simply nodding her head. “You don’t have to ask me of anything. I’m in debt to you, more than you think I am.” Fixing the papers to get them in a neat order, she glanced over the sheets again and than adjusted her violin accordingly, placing it beneath her chin and pulling the bow steadily across the strings, “We’re good!”

He shook his head, grinning at her. "Not at all, Princess. It's just like old times."

Leaving her side to tune his own guitar, he glanced over at the control room. "We're going to do some practise runs before the final take," he explained. "You should get a feel for it after that."

Agreeing with him, she lifted the bow and began to play the chords that were written for her. Each one falling perfectly on time with each chord that glided to those that were listening. Fingers moving from one string to the next, swaying with the music to keep time and beat with the rhythm, her eyes closed thinking of each note, it was almost like she knew the song by heart already.

When heavier and harder notes passed, flawlessly performing each with precision and deadly correct accuracy. Where there was a brief pause of the violin she tossed her bow into the air, giving it a spinning effect, catching it and played again. Slowly finishing the song, she held the bow at her side and than glanced at Gil. “Feel for it is pretty good. I have played many of your songs by violin, Gilgamesh, this certainly is a difficult song, but I can handle it.”

He chuckled softly. "It'll probably be easier without the performance tricks. They'll be great for the concert, but not really necessary just for the recording."

Strumming a few chords languidly, he grinned, knowing that the next thing to floor her would be the mention of the concert. She enjoyed performing; ever since they were children, she had loved performing in front of an audience as much as he did.

"True," she admitted with a soft chuckle while she rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. "That would make it...eas- You want me to perform with you!?" she nearly died as she changed what she had been talking about.

Blinking a few times, jaw dropped and eyes wide, she looked at him and lifted her hand pointing at him saying through a small voice "Are you kidding?"

Donning a mock-serious expression, he answered her in a grave tone. "I
never kid, Arturia."

Gil couldn't keep it up for long, however, since they both knew that one of the things she found so frustrating about him was that he never seemed to take anything seriously. He admitted there was some truth to that.

Placing her violin to the side, for a moment, she trotted over to him, placing her arms around him in a tight, yet sudden, embrace. “Just tell me the date and I will be at your side on stage.” she muttered into his shoulder, pulling away after a moment later. Her cheeks tinged a bright red, turning to her violin again and putting it beneath her chin.

“I’m ready when you are.” her back now faced him, hiding the red that crawled to the rest of her face.

He couldn't help himself, laughing lightly at her enthusiasm and noting her blush. He knew it was still rather difficult for her to be open with her feelings after all she had gone though, but that didn't mean he wouldn't keep trying to get past those barriers. She had let him into her private world long ago, and with any luck she would do so again.

But for the time being, he could be happy with the simple pleasure of performing at her side.

The time she had been spending with him in the studio, she had believed, to be some of her best. This would always stick to her memory, what girl wouldn’t enjoy playing beside a man that they adored? Pulling the violin away from her chin, now briefly alone in the studio room, she picked up Gilgamesh’s guitar and began to aimlessly play. Tracking chords in her mind, her fingers glided over the strings and played the song that she had loved sense she was a young child. Figuring the microphones above were turned off while Gilgamesh was taking his break, or was off doing whatever he needed to do, she softly sang the words that she knew well ( ... )

Gil leaned against the doorframe, listening with a grin. Once she was finished, he beckoned her into the hallway, handing her a bottle of oolong tea.

"You've still got it," he commented, never losing the grin he wore. He didn't read anything into the song, assuming that she simply felt like playing it.

Spotting Gil in the doorway, she placed his guitar down gentle on its stand, being careful not to damage it in anyway. Walking to the hallway he was standing in, taking the tea bottle he held toward her, cracking it open and taking a drink from it.

“Thank you…” she said, rolling her eyes with a soft chuckle at that grin. Setting the bottle of tea down on the ground, her back half turned toward him, her face changing colors. “Have you ever felt a strange feeling about some person?” she asked him knowing that her question was a bit confusing.
