Summary: Not having work anymore, Lavi wastes time in a cafe after class...
Stupid renovation! They just had to start work earlier than scheduled didn’t they? And now with almost two whole months off, there was nothing for him to do after classes - at least until Kanda got back from Africa.
The coffee sat beside him was still hot, freshly topped up only a few minutes ago, and the carrot cake half finished. He’d never come to this particular café before but he was starting to think he might have to come more often; it was a small place, but the atmosphere was good, as well as the food, and if one strained their ears, the sound of music playing softly in the kitchen was noticeable.
That didn’t stop him from being bored and lonely though. With no-one to spend time with and next to nothing to do, he was finding that was happening more and more often, which was a real annoyance, especially for someone like himself who needed to be occupied almost constantly - even more so recently with his mind having a tendency to wander and depress him.
With a soft sigh as his mind started doing exactly that, Lavi picked up his coffee and took a long drink before returning to trying to distract himself with the crossword in the newspaper he’d picked up that morning.
