Summary: It's closing time, and Subaru has to go home, but not before he stumbles upon, quite literally, an angsting Sora, who should be going home for a quick dinner before his night shift.XD;
Sora relaxed a little, rolling his shoulders to perhaps relieve some of the tension in them. It wasn't that he was particularly stressed about work; it was actually everything else in his life that had him upset. He left the game store, waving a quick farewell to his coworkers, and the manager in the process of shutting down the computers and registers. He became quickly lost in thought, brows drawing together in worry. Sora wasn't going to begrudge Kairi time with her new friends; she did deserve to be happy and he wanted that for her so desperately. he had to admit, however, that he felt a little lonely and left behind.
The other thing that was bothering him was that he'd intended to stop working and start school this year, but he'd completely missed the deadline. And now... well, he was almost eighteen. It was kind of late to start his sophomore year and not feel like a total moron. Sora sighed in frustration. Great. He'd totally fucked up his life trying to find Riku, and once found, his best friend managed to disappear again. Sora wasn't exactly mad at him (he'd gotten over it about two months after Riku'd initially left), but he was more than a little hurt and betrayed that Riku went back on his promise and then didn't even say goodbye or leave any warning. Sora kicked a rock, which flew into a pole and ricocheted off, striking his shin. Sora swore, a generally rare occurrence, and crouched down, clutching at his knee, biting his lip in pain. He actually felt tears welling up. Well, fuck.
