He had wanted to get out on time today, since he was going to meet Seffie and then go out, but of course the paperwork got piled onto his desk about half an hour before the end of his shift. He sighed and managed to plow through it in record time, clocking out five minutes after he shift. He was sure there'd be more the next day, but for now, the priority was Seffie.

Sick of taking the train, even as reliable as it was, he'd finally saved enough money for a car. The side streets in Japan were so narrow, so he'd been forced to buy a smaller car. It was a powerful little thing though. He liked the fast cars, and after all, the Japanese were known for their quality engineering. Besides, small cars were easier to park.

About ten minutes after he'd left work he was looking for the house Selphie had described. He'd gotten partially lost once, since there were no real numbers and addresses like there were in the States, which still confused him to no end, but he managed to find it after another short search.

He parked and walked up the steps, hoping he'd actually gotten the right house, and rang the bell. No doubt he'd hear the sound of feet running to the door any second now. It was so like Selphie to be waiting for him. He braced himself for a tackle too, just in case.

Selphie grinned as she saw a tiny yellow car park up in front of her house, and she didn't have to look twice to know who it was. Halfway down the stairs she heard the bell rang, and she took the risk of breaking her neck going down the stairs, sliding down the banister and hopping into her boots. Smoothing out her dress, she turned the golden doorknob slightly, opening the door for her guest.

Or for herself, really. Now that there wasn't a boundary between the two of them, Selphie squealed almost loud enough for a glass to break, and her arms wrapped around Irvine, her head in his chest.

Seeing him, feeling him in person was much better than talking to him online. And she was glad; he hadn't changed a bit, other than growing another inch or two. Of course, she'd changed a bit, too. But they were still the same, Seffie and Irvy, ready to take on any challenge.

After calming down just a bit, she looked up at him just a bit, her green eyes glowing with anticipation and joy, a grin plastered on her face. "Long time no see."
