Summary: Halloween's just around the corner and the local Scary Girl is out to shop for her favorite day of the year.
The weather was cool and there was always the chance that it would rain. It didn't seem like such a good day for shopping, but one particular girl didn't seem to mind. If anything, the slight rainy weather put Nakahara Sunako in good spirits as she wandered the streets in search of goodies.
Halloween was just a few weeks away and Sunako was all about preparing. She just wouldn't be able to bear it if she forgot about Halloween again just like last year. That had been an absolute nightmare and there was lots of depression. Not that she really minded depression. It suited her just fine, but if her aunt ever caught her in such a state, it wouldn't be pretty.
Thankfully (or unfortunately, depending on who you were), the thought of her aunt didn't erase the huge grin on her face. She was practically skipping as she walked down the sidewalk, peering into shop windows and stalls, almost giggling over at all the pretty Halloween trappings for sale or decoration. All of it distracted her from the reactions of other people to her presence. She already scared people normally. With that grin on her face, it just made people shrink back and tremble.
Let's not even get started on the children who ran, screaming and crying to their mothers, at the mere sight of her face.
