Summary: The reception for Vincent's and Yukari's wedding. ♥ (Self explanatory.)



Lavi: Mmm, sure. ~Slides down from his seat, brushing down his suit.~ Where're we sittin'?

Balthier: *wakes up again and pulls his head up enough for another drink of coffee before he laspes back into his nap*

Vincent : -Gasps and pouts.- Are you being serious? Damn! I was still looking forward to Friday nights..

Kanda: The head table. I'm next to Nuriko and you're next to me. *Heads in the direction he came, walking slowly and supporting himself with the cane he'd bought to go with his suit.*

Basch: *as Balthier moves he quickly hides the object in his hand and stuffs it back in his pocket, afraid he might have seen it. Sits beside him, and watches him dozing lightly*

Yukari: *snorts, leaning over to gently kiss him* We'll have to find something else to occupy the time~.

Balthier: *shifts in his sleep to be closer to Basch*

Rufus: *studiously ignoring his cell phone vibrating*

Vincent : -Kisses her back and smiles.- Shame.  I'm sure we can occupy each other though.

Rude: *feels the vibration, and glances at Rufus* Uh... Rufus..?

Hana: Ha...? *stares blankly at map* I think I'm in the wrong place... *eyes widen when he sees all the people* Uh-oh...

Basch: *puts an arm around his shoulders and kisses his cheek* I love you.

Lavi: ~Shuffles after Kanda, yawning sleepily.~ I think ya should've hit me over the head t'get me t'sleep last night, Yuu.  I'm knackered.

Yukari: *smiles* This is true. *glances over at someone walks in* ... ?

Rufus: *ignoring the phone* I'm not getting sucked into work. *says by way of explanation*

Balthier: *murmurs* I love you too.

Vincent : Hm? -Glances up.-

Eclipse: *glances over at the sight of somebody holding a map*

Rude: *snorts* That works.

Cross : -Had thanked Eclipse for the drink and sips it.-

Kanda: I can't say I wasn't tempted. *Sighs and sits down, eyes drifting over to the new person.*

Nuriko: *Giggles at Kanda's comment, following his gaze.*

Eclipse: *has a hand on Cross's leg, but it's totally innocent*

Basch: *smiles warmly, but then only gets more nervous cause... yeah... not telling XD*

Rufus: I'm not making Sephiroth's---*glances over where everybody else is looking*

Vergil: *glances up, as people are staring at something. Sees what it is, bored, looks away and drinks*

Yukari: ... ... *feels bad that everyone's staring at him* ... Erm...

Pa : ...You know him?

Vincent : Uh...Yukari?

Lavi: That's nice to know. ~Sits down beside Kanda and sighs softly, biting back another yawn.~ Y'probably would've knocked me out for good.

Nuriko: *Gets up and walks over, putting a hand on his shoulder.* Are you lost, honey?

Yukari: *blinks a few times* Well.. I've seen him before, but I dont think we ever met.

Hana: *eyes widen, is really really REALLY scared* U-un... Uh... Y-yeah... *map is shaking between hands, looks down* S-sorry! I was supposed to deliver something for one of the p-patients as the hospital...

Rae : -Frowns a little.- ...I'd hate to be stared at like that...

Nuriko: *Giggles, trying to soothe him and loosen him up a little.* It's okay. Don't worry. *Gives him a big smile*

Hana: And on my w-way b-back I got l-l-lost

Yukari: *smiles* Nuri has magically soothing powers, at least.

Eclipse: *feels sorry for him a little* Poor kid. *takes a drink*

Basch: *looks over, wondering if he can help any, but sees that Nuri is over there. Well keep an ear out but will worry more about sleepy!Balthier and his... stuff XD*

Vincent : -Smiles a little, running his thumb over Yukari's ring finger.- Yeah.

Hana: *feels slightly more comfortable* Un... I-I'm sorry! I-I'll leave... But I d-don't really know how to get back

Balthier: *Coffee finally kicks in and he wakes up and stretches* I think I'm going to go get another cup of coffee. *since Basch is thinking about his STUFF, dirty old man. ♥*

Kanda: *Turns back to Lavi and gives him a somewhat stern look.* Just try to stay awake. You can sleep after dinner if you have to.

Basch: *sits back a bit, and nods* I shall wait here for you. *drinks a little of his manly drink and does more pocket fiddling*

Yukari: *brushes her fingers absently over his* Speaking of dinner... I wonder when it'll be ready.  *starving*

Lavi: ~Gives Kanda a small smile in reply to the stern look and nods.~ Yeah, sure.  I'll stay awake.  ~Is waking up a bit now anyway, now that he has someone to talk to.~

Nuriko: *Smiles more.* That's alright. Do you need some help? Or would you like to stay for a little while? *Glances over at Yukari, unsure*

Balthier: *notices him fiddling with his pocket as he walks away and wonders what that is about*

Vincent : Don't know...Soon I hope.  Haven't since yesterday morning. -Smiles some.-

Hana: I-I don't mind.... Either way- I-I'm okay!

Yukari: *glances up* He can stay, if he likes. *pauses, and looks over at Vincent* Since YESTERDAY MORNING!!?

Rufus: *finally caves and answers his phone, getting up and going out to talk to Sephiroth*

Rude: *sighs as he gets up, retracting his arm*

Vincent : -Flinches as her voices raises.  Few heads turning to look.- W-Well I was too nervous to eat!

Kanda: Good. Drink your coke and you'll wake up more. *Sighs softly.*

Nuriko: Let's find you somewhere to sit, hm?

Hana: *surprised by sudden vibrations of ringing cellphone* Eep! *opens it* O-okay...

Yukari: *clears her throat lady-like, regaining her composure* ... ... That's adorable. *sighs* But unhealthy.

Basch: *swishing his drink around in the glass, not even drinking it anymore, staring off into space a bit... thinking about if and when he should do it...*

Vincent : -Smiles more and leans closer to Yuakri, kissing her cheek.- Won't happen again.

Lavi: Yes Boss. ~Salutes and then downs half the glass, feeling the sugar hitting him moments later.~

Kanda: You don't have to drink it quite that fast... *rolls his eyes and sighs again.*

Yukari: Good. *widens her smile, glancing over at Lavi chugs his drink* O_o;... Ne Lavi-san,... could you even taste that?

Nuriko: *Returns to Yukari's side after a moment.* There. That's all settled. I can give him a ride home later, or something. *Smiles*

Rufus: *Comes back in, grinning from ear to ear, obviously utterly amused, and sits with Rude again*

Rae : -Making a rose out of a napkin.-

Eclipse: *bored*

Yukari: *smiles at Nuri* Okay. Thank you for taking care of him. *glances up as the waiters and waitresses finally start coming out*

Rude: *looks at him curiously* ..? What happened?

Vincent : ....Finally!

Lavi: ~Chuckles and shrugs.~ Sorry~ ~Grins at Yukari.~ I could taste it~ Just. And y'don't need to use san, y'know~ ~Smile.~

Rufus: *innocent tone* Schadenfruede. Don't worry about it. Just... stay away from Seph.

Nuriko: You're welcome! *Grins widely, then beams as the food starts to come.* Mmm, I'm starving!

Kanda: *Is hopeful that the meal is going to be something he likes, but that's not very likely.*

Yukari: Ah... *laughs* Okay. It was a bit of a habit. *sighs in relief as they get served first* Blessed food...

Rude: *snorts* You sounded a little cynical, Rufus.

Vincent : -Feels his stomach growl.- It smells good..

Rufus: *grins* It's nice to see somebody else having a bad day after I nearly took Kanda's head off just for knocking on my door last night.

Lavi: ~Perks as the food arrives, having not eaten all day.~ My name just sounds weird with san~

Balthier: *finally returns with coffee, sitting next to Basch again* Mmm. I feel much more like a person.

Vincent : Yours sounds weird?

Yukari: ...? Vincent-san? What's wrong with that? *blinks*

Rude: ... *tilts his head* Kanda..? What was he doing?

Vincent : ....It just...doesn't sound right.

Kanda: *looks down as the food is served, to the head table first, as is customary, and smirks a little. At least it's something he can pick at, as opposed to something he wouldn't touch.*

Rufus: *shakes his head* Don't worry about it. I just need to find some alone time to help him with a... extracirricular problem. *smiles*

Lavi: ~Chuckles.~ Yeah, just a little. ~Gives Kanda a look for the smirk, tutting softly.~

Yukari: You're both exagerating. Lavi-san and Vincent-san sound perfectly normal. *rolls her eyes, then looks at Kanda* Does it fit your standards, Ototo-chan?

Rude: ... ... Ah. *looks over as food is placed on the table*

Lavi: It sounds terrible, Yukari-san! My name isn't even Japanese. 'Sides, we're basically related so y'don't need t'use san. ~Smiles brightly.~

Kanda: What? *Gives Lavi a slight glare, though it's not as potent as it could be, and looks to Yukari when she speaks.* It'll do.

Yukari: .... -_-#

Vincent : Yeah yeah -waves a hand and smiles.- .....Welcome to the family, huh?

Lavi: ~Chuckles at Kanda.~ You're smirking.

Yukari: *perks* Ah... that's true. *laughs* We're all like a big...strange family. X3;

Nuriko: *Giggles at Kanda* Oh come on. It's good! *Picks up his chopsticks and pops a small piece of food into his mouth.* Mmm! Delicious! Eat up, Kanda-san!

Rufus: *___* Food... *digs in*

Lavi: And y'never know~ Maybe one day I'll convince Yuu t'marry me~ ~Chuckles and grins, because he's only joking.~

Kanda: *Picks up his chopsticks and eats somewhat reluctantly.* One big fucked up family... *Turns to Lavi and gives him an incredulous look.*

Vincent : ....Yeah, and there's the rest of your additional one there Yukari. -Nods in their direction...Hm? -Laughs.- ..

Lavi: ~Starts on his own food, grinning around his chopsticks at Kanda. Swallowing his food, he chuckles.~ I was just kidding Yuu~ Unless you wanna~

Yukari: *laughs* I don't mind~. I like the idea of having a big family. *picks up her chopsticks*

Kanda: Don't be ridiculous! *Eats quietly, and it's probably a good thing it isn't soba.*

Rude: *blinks as he begins eating* ... .... I dont think I've ever seen you eat like that.

Rufus: I haven't had a lot to eat this week. *takes a drink*

Nuriko: Aww! That would be so cute! Would you wear a dress, Kanda-san? *giggles as he pictures the wedding.*

Lavi: ~Pouts and feigns a hurt look and then perks again as Nuriko speaks, smirking.~ Of course he would~ I just wouldn't look good in a dress~

Vincent : You say that now. -Taking his chopsticks and starting to eat and suddenly choked as he tries not to laugh.-

Rude: ... No kidding. *makes a mental note to be more firm with that*

Kanda: NO! *Growls at Lavi and Nuriko* Tch.

Yukari: *blinks at Vincent, then looks over at Kanda* Don't be silly, Ototo-chan. You could wear my dress. <3

Lavi: Awww~ But you look good in a dress, Yuu~ ~Blows him a kiss~

Rufus: Well... work's been really busy.

Kanda: You're fucking insane, the lot of you! *Wants to crawl under a rock and die*

Vincent : People might think it's you Yukari.

Balthier: *eating slowly, enjoying talking to Basch, probably)

Yukari: WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE ! *twitches, then looks at Vincent, smiling* Hm..?

Lavi: ~Chuckles and nods, pointing his chopsticks at Kanda.~ That's you told~

Vincent : -Chuckles.- Nothing.

Basch: *eating with Balthier, enjoying talking to him as well*

Kanda: *Grumbles softly.* You're still insane. *Watching his language now.*

Lavi: Yeah, but you love us all anyway. ~Goes back to enjoying the food.~

Rude: ... Still. *sighs*

Rufus: *blinks over at him* What? I'm eating now, aren't I?

Yukari: *laughs* Of course he does~.

Nuriko: *Giggles at the entire scene, putting an arm around Kanda's shoulder.* You know I'm just teasing. You're just so easy to tease. I'm sure you'd look dashing in a white suit.

Rude: Right, right. *waves a hand, taking a bite of his food*

Kanda: *Shrugs Nuriko's arm off, or, attempts to, focusing on his meal instead.*

Basch: *should do a speeh or something soon, before his mun dozes off XD*

Lavi: ~Grins at Nuriko and Kanda, drinking more of his coke, though he's finally awake.~

Kanda: *Picks at his meal, eating what he likes and leaving most of the vegetables.*

Basch: *stands up, and clears his throat* May I get everyone's attention? *holding his drink in one hand*

Yukari: *looks up curiously*

R+B+E: *all look up at Basch curiously*

Rae : -Blinks and looks up with a mouth stuffed full of food.-

Cross : -Glances.-

Vergil: *doesn't care*

Vincent : -Looks up.-

Basch: Thank you. *smiles, a bit nervously* I would just like to say a few words on the behalf of our bride and groom.

Kanda: *Pushing food around on his plate, though he's eating it reluctantly, knowing he should fill up before cake, which he's probably going to be force fed anyway.*

Basch: I have known Vincent for many years now, and have seen him grow as an individual... seen his ups, and have seen his downs. He is a good man through all of it, though we all have our faults. *smiles a little* Though I am happy to say I believe Yukari has picked a good man to spend her life with.

Yukari: *smiles*

Lavi: ~Kicks Kanda gently under the table.~

Vincent : -Blushing some and smiles looking at Yukari.-

Kanda: *Glares over at Lavi, kicking him back lightly.*

Basch: *looks at Vincent then* And I am glad you finally get your happy ending, Vincent. *those who know willl know what he's talking about* And though I may not have known Yukari as long, she is a fine young woman and compliments her new husband very well. I wish you both much happiness and luck in your new life together. *raises his drink* To Mr. and Mrs. Valentine! *drinks*

Lavi: ~Catches Kanda's feet between his own and shakes his head.~

Rude: *drinks* I could feel his nervousness. *snorts*

Nuriko: *Lifts his glass and repeats Basch* To Mr. and Mrs. Valentine!

Vincent : -Thinks his vision is blurring.-

Rufus: *Drinks, amused* He's never been good at public speaking, poor thing.

E+B: *drink as well, though Balthier is drinking coffee XD*

Yukari: *squeezes Vincent's hand tightly, giving Basch a wide smile*

Rae : Mr. and Mrs. Valentine~~! -Lifts and drinks.-

Basch: *smiles at them both again, before sitting down, and can't believe he just did that holy hell XD isn't a big speaker*

Kanda: *Growls softly, but lifts his glass to drink, because he knows Nuriko, Lavi and Yukari will probably give him looks if he doesn't.*

Lavi: ~Drinks as well, grinning a little.~

Balthier: *pats his back and kisses his cheek*

Rude: He did well, though. I wouldn't know what the hell to say.

Basch: *smiles* Thank you, love.

Kanda: *Refrains from mumbling something about cliches and stays silent instead, drinking his champagne.*

Vincent : ...I didn't think he actually would do that..

Rufus: I like that he kept it short. *returns his attention to what's left of his food.*

Yukari: ... What'd you mean, darling?

Rude: *watches him eat* Yeah.

Vincent : A speech.

Yukari: Aw,.. it's tradition, sweetheart.

Kanda: *Puts down his glass and picks at his food some more.*

Lavi: ~Prods Kanda softly, knowing that he wants to say something but is holding back, and shakes his head.~

Kanda: *Looks over at Lavi, rolls his eyes an then pushes his plate away, the remainder of the vegetables, which isn't all that much, remains untouched.*

Lavi: ~Chuckles at Kanda and shakes his head again, finishing his own meal.~

Kyo:: *uh, probably poking at his vegetables suspiciously I dunno?*

Basch: *eating a little bit, stomach still a flutter from having to do that speech thing, and from other things*

Zelos: -Is finished?-

Kanda: *Puts his chopsticks down and picks up his champagne again, drinking it even though it's sweeter than he'd like, but not too sweet.*

Vergil: *ate a salad*

Lavi: ~Leans sideways against Kanda a little, getting sleepy again.~

Nuriko: *Whispers to Yukari and then giggles, picking up a chopstick to tap his glass.*

Yazoo: *eating*

Kanda: *prods Lavi.* Wake up!

Lavi: I am awake, but you're comfy~

Hiruma: sits in the back, chewing gum, finding speeches very dull.. *sighs*

Basch: *glances at the tapping of the glass*

Vincent : -Blinks.- Huh?

Nuriko: *Whispers to Yukari again, explaining what he's doing.*

Yukari: *blinks a few times, then softens her expression* ...Ah.

Nuriko: *giggles a little and stands* Tap your glasses! You know what that means, right? The bride and groom have to kiss whenever someone taps their glass! *grins widely*

Yukari: I have a feeling people are going to be abusing this game... *laughs*

Basch: *chuckles softly*

Kyo:: ...that's a new one on me. >>;

Yazoo: *quirks an eyebrow* *mutteres* No, in fact I didn't know that....

Vincent : Not that I really mind.

Nuriko: *giggles* That's the point!

Zelos : ...Uh...Same.

Vergil: *doesn't want to play this stupid game*

Rae : -Taps his glass.-

Yukari: *laughs as Rae taps his glass* Our first one, then. *leans over to Vincent, giving him a kiss*

Kanda: *Rolls his eyes and pokes Lavi again.*

Lavi: ~Bats at Kanda.~ Stop poking me!

Vincent : -Rolls his eyes and chuckles, leaning over and kissing her back.-

Basch: *waits until their done and taps his glass next, not before stealing a kiss from Balthier too)

Kanda: *Grumbles, having to deal with Lavi leaning on his shoulder, but it's not so bad.*

Vincent : -Smiling and glances to the side before kissing Yukari again.-

Yukari: Mmn. *kisses him back, then leans back into her chair*

Kanda: *Refuses to tap his glass.*
