Characters:: Watanuki Kimihiro (domesticboy) and Doumeki Shizuka (doyomeku)
Date/Time:: eleven-thirtyish on a saturday, any saturday*
Location:: Watanuki's apartment/a public park
Rating:: PG-13ish, most likely
Summary:: In which neither Doumeki Shizuka nor Watanuki Kimihiro know at all what they're doing, but are still trying to go on a date together.

Doumeki was late. This was ridiculous and annoying, and Kimihiro would not stand for it. He'd been up since six a.m. slaving away to make them the perfect picnic lunch and this was after working until midnight on the busiest night of his shift. Apparently the brief lingering post-coital feelings had died, leaving only his usual irritation with his most common companion. Well, no, there were still odd, almost happy twisting sensations in his stomach regions. But on the whole, he was firmly irritated with Doumeki Shizuka, who was already ten minutes late. And counting.

Kimihiro glanced over at the picnic, all packed and ready to go. He looked at the door, lingered on it, then his eyes went back at the food. Door, food. Food, door. This went on for about seven seconds, then he stood up, went over to his neat package, unwrapped it, and moved all the bento boxes off the furoshiki. He stared at this for six seconds, sighed, and repacked the food, rearranging it until he'd unintentionally repackaged the whole thing exactly the same as before. He glared towards the door for a moment, then examined the knot he was tying. Satisfied, he turned away. He paced his living room in some sort of a circle, if circles had occasional random corners. This went on for eight seconds. Then he marched up to the door and crossed his arms, drumming his fingers on his arm impatiently. He huffed in annoyance and gave his watch a look that would stop a hardened criminal dead in his tracks.

Doumeki was late.

*there's been some major timeline screwage what with my many hiatuses and trip to France, as well as my inability to tag in a timely fashion (a matter that I'm attempting to fix for the convenience of all). Some of Iambic's inactivity also helped, I'm sure. But it does take place soon after our MUCH older log, so technically, this is backdated. A LOT.
