I'm sitting in the dark Newspaper classroom, warmed only by the light of this Apple monitor. I shall assume most, if not all, of the student body here at this God-forsaken school, is at the assembly. You know, those vomit-worthy pep assemblies full of people who enjoy getting involved and enjoy the ache in their ass after sitting on plastic benches for an hour and a half.
I went last year for the pure enjoyment of those home made videos.
The lack of updates is due to my lack of motivation and need for three hour long naps after a good snack of milk and cookies. I think I think too much. I think that I think to much about thinking to much. Thanks to my Psychology class, I can now spell the word psychology and am able to define the act of thinking too much about thinking too much as I sit here and think too much. Metacognition.
Speaking of that class, I have been reading ahead in my psych. book and have to come to understand more that most of human behaviors come out of individual habit. Such as motivation reduction, depression, the problem solving skills we use as individuals, and the way memory works (our selective attention, the beauty of eidetic memory, and to me the most interesting part of all: repression-what we subconsciously choose to forget about our past). Its all based on the first experience with have such things, like the first time we put together a large puzzle, the next time we do so we will try the exact same strategy and if that same strategy fails we normally would rather give up then try new ways of going about putting the stupid puzzle together. And all throughout our young education its shoved down our throats to try new ways of solving problems! Ah I love how it all makes sense! Thats why we have such advanced thinking within our society today, because now that people understand the human mind more they also understand the ways its necessary to expand our creativity, the vividness of our memory and how to overcome rigidity. Which in the end we apply to complex or not-so-complex problem solving, almost completely subconsciously.
Thus, I come to the conclusion that a lot of the human advancement we have had over the years is, in fact, due to the study of psychology and the creativity of the creator. Another example of how I back this up is because the actual establishment of psychology as a formal study began in Germany, 1879. I think that it can't be argued that from that point on until now, our advancement with science and technology has greatly improved. And the Greeks also studied the human mind around the same time period that Algebra, Geometry and other forms of math were established as true. I doubt its a coincidence.
Fucking hell, I just came up with the thesis for my Psych. term paper.
