Woeeee Oklahoma....

I am here. I have arrived. I made it.

I think on all that it took me to get here, Tulsa Oklahoma. I have lost relationships with beloved friends. I have left behind a family, a church and the town I lived in. What I left was treasured but I know it is secure there in God's great big hands. This moment is bitter and sweet all wrapped into one. Will it be like Rent when I return?

Till my path forward leads back there I know I must focus on things out here. I have settled well into my apartment. I have made a great friend by the name of Billy Burne (pronounced Born.) I know I have made some decisions that other have disagreed with and gotten some things others though I do not need, but I can make my own decisions hey-ya.

Despite all this the search for a church is slow and well methodical. I stumble on to Flipside in a time of dire need and I am not here to get close to that position. So I search, look and try places. There are so many it is ridiculous, but I have met some interesting people and had some interesting experience.

Since I have been here I have seen two churches, two free concerts, fireworks, roasted hot dogs on a bonfire, seen three movies, led worship for a youth group, done a load of laundry and gone swimming twice (not in that order). There have been some really gracious people out here. People are friendlier which is to be expected. It is a definite change of pace.

There are a lot of motorcycle rides, many Mazda’s and too many sonic burgers. The Wal-Marts are ginormous and there are bonze statues of animals all along the river (I will take picture soon.) Anyway I am doing ok trying not to be to lonely or home-sick. Pray for me cause school starts in August. Well I love you all, more as it happens.
