First, let me thank you for filling my prompt! I can't tell you how excited (and more than a little shaken up cuz I guess I never expected anybody to ever fill one of those little ideas!) I am because this story is just PERFECT! You got all the feels, all the little nuances in the relationship between Dean and the older version of his brother, and then left it so that Dean never knew...arghh! Yes! I want to write a sequel where Dean figures it out fifteen years later! Can I? Can I? Please? Oh, you're such a wonderful, inspiring writer! Well, I left a bunch of squeeing anonymous comments already so I guess you can tell how much I love this. Thank you so much!

It was your prompt!??!? So very happy to have filled it for you, and even happier that you weren't disappointed at the somewhat angsty turn it took on me.

Of course you can write a sequel. Please do! I'd love that so much. It's one of my favorite things about fandom, the way that we can bounce off of each others ideas and all end up throwing sand around in this giant sandbox. Let me know if you end up writing it, okay? I'll be thrilled.

Thank you so much for the wonderful prompt!

Doooood, this was amazing. I love Dean's POV and how he described Sam, how (to me) Dean seemed to know, maybe, but of course it would've been ludicrous to really consider and his logical brain wouldn't admit to as much. Time travel fics are the devil to untangle and you did it masterfully ... and with some serious steam! And OMG, that last bit of dialog? My heart is pudding. PUDDING, I SAY. Gorgeous job!

*scoops your heart up with a spoon*

It's interesting, because the whole time I was writing this, I kept telling myself that Dean would obviously know it was his brother. There would have to be clues and cues that would convince him. Plus the name thing. And then I basically had to suspend my own disbelief, since that's what I am asking you guys to do as readers, and in the end just roll with it. See? See what happens in my head when I write? It's a weird, tangled place.

All of this is to say thank you so much. Means the world to me that you like this one. ♥

Thanks so much, ash! I was really shaky on this one, and it's great to hear it does the trick.
