Howdy all!
Spent all of yesterday in the clutches of what I like to call post-salt_burn_porn syndrome. You know, the day after you've spent all night writing porn, and now you've got to go to work, and you're tired and foggy and jittery from too much caffeine, with a strange sort of porn-hangover, all mildly buzzed from banging out 4-6k words in 4-6 hours. Wouldn't trade it for the world. We should have a day-after support system, where you're allowed to crash on your couch, and your fellow fangirls and boys come over and bring you pillows and soft blankets and soup. Just sayin'.
In other news, I am very pleased to announce that the lovely eosrose has podficced my little story, I'm Slowly Turning into You. Her reading is absolutely wonderful and can be streamed or downloaded HERE. What a treat!

But he's been in love with his neighbor from down the hall for so long that he'd do just about anything asked of him. This fic. THIS FIC. I swear, three lines in and I had this lump in my throat, three paragraphs in and I had that feeling in my stomach--you know that feeling. It's quiet and thoughtful, amazing, rich characterization (punk rock Jensen! I feel like this author knows my heart), a slow and careful love story that feels so much bigger than its word count.

Summary: Some things are rock-solid truths: the sky is blue, monsters are real, Sam’s in love with his brother, and he’s never going to tell him. Alright, so maybe Sam’s a little shaky on that last one, and one night he slips up. In an attempt to re-establish their fragile status quo, the boys head down to the low country, to a crumbling plantation house in South Carolina, haunted by a vengeful and violent poltergeist. As Dean tries to keep his distance, Sam unravels the case layer by layer, revealing the house’s dark past, and secrets that may bring the brothers closer together after all.
