The Telling
So, I read this book over the weekend, and I really want to know if anyone else has read it. It is called The Telling by Ursula K. Leguin (author of the Earthsea novels, among others). It was fascinating, and I really want to talk to someone about it, because I can't get my thoughts about it straight in my head. If you have read it, please tell me what you thought. If you haven't, I definitely recommend it. It is speculative fiction, more on the side of sci fi than fantasy about an earth woman who is an observer of newly discovered civilizations. She is on this planet and it is about her trying to discover the planet's history, even though it was destroyed and outlawed by the current ruling body. But it is about so much more than that, too...*sighs* It is just one of those books, ya know?
