Inauguration
Tomorrow's going to be Noynoy's inauguration. People have been going on and on about how GMA has been in power for too long and all that, but it was just today I realized how long she's actually been in power.
I think this is the first time I'm going to be witnessing a presidential inauguration na may malay na ako. As in totoong malay.
I watched GMA get sworn into office by the Chief Justice Davide. I was in Grade Five then. I don't remember GMA's 2004 inauguration. I don't know why. But 2004, I was in second year high school. True enough, I've always been quite politically aware - my parents being who and what they are - but I think at this point, I'm politically aware because of my own doing, and not just because I overhear my parents talking politics in the car or over the dinner table.
GMA assumed the presidency when I was in Grade Five. She's been president ever since, until now. I'm now in fourth year college. Putangina oo nga ang tagal nang presidente ni Gloria.

I kinda wanna go to the street party tomorrow. It's part of history, after all.
