Though it may not look it, yes, Calgary is (by the tiniest of margins) ahead of Montreal right now and good on them. For a team that went from having a bright new star in football sidelined to a washup who's last major shot at the Grey Cup fell short due a broken arm in 2007, Glenn (and perhaps more importantly Cornish and the O-line) have become a formidable foe.

On a slightly different note, depending on where you sit, the loss of the Riders this week to Montreal is potentially as much a good as it is a bad thing for Saskatchewan fans. More then most games, I would say it was the Montreal's defense that won the game more then its offense as Calvillo did not look comfy in the pocket and his receivers dropped ball after ball after ball. So, with a very ineffective Alouette offense, Saskatchewan should have won that game and part of the reason they didn't was because of the inexperience they had when using their backup QB Willy to start. This is not a knock on Willy, mind, as he has a strong arm and potential to be an amazing QB in the league but - right now - his lacklustre peformance against the Alouettes and the easy mistakes he's been making in the last two games should quiet most of the "pull Durant" crowd across Saskatchewan. Would the Riders have won with Durant at the helm last game? No one can say for certain. What they can say with certainty is that we didn't win with Willy there.
