Well, that's a *fascinating* peek at ritual sorcery, and ... coordinated not-technically-ritual sorcery, even without context, because ... gack, what is going on here? But, AU.
I like that they're adapting enemy music -- including lyrics! -- to ritual magic. And that their choice of music may threaten the disruptors.
I'm trying to come up with a pop/metal song that included a dance routine, which makes me think of '80s hair metal, but nothing specific comes to mind. Both of my more recent thoughts -- Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and Lordi's "Hard Rock Hallelujah" -- have background cheerleader routines, but neither one looks like a dance that I'd expect to be able to turn into a defensive line. That sort of dance is more something I'd expect from Psy's "Gangnam Style" or Michael Jackson's extended "Thriller" video.
Where this story does come from is my realization that most Hoshun would like amplified music, e.g. metal, where you can feel the beat in your gut and your bones - to them it would feel like the earth talking.
