Still Be There, An Auctus/Duro mix.

So I have some pretty basic themes to all my Auctus x Duro storylines and headcanons no matter the ‘verse. I always see them as starting off almost explosive with a slight power-imbalance. Auctus is older, has more life experience, and has already had one pretty long and serious relationship in his life. Duro is younger and more eager about pretty much everything. In every single fic and every ‘verse I’ve written for them (minus Journeys ‘verse which is different) they’ve always had a period where they come together-have a break-come together again as equals and stay there for good. There are self-doubt problems on both sides; Duro worries about not being enough, Auctus worries about being too old or too jaded, and they can sometimes seem too different to everyone around them. The important stuff though; the same ideals and goals, they share those. They just need to get past all the other shit first and once they get there, well, there are still rocky patches, but they’re good. Even when "broken" they are each other's constants. In Live Fast, Die Old verse this is a major factor--hence When You Come Back Down. The one song I associate with them that's left off this mix is Ben Howards' Keep Your Head Up and that's b/c it really is deeply associated with one 'verse for me. (Aka the one where Chadara and Nasir are basically Auctus' new bb!pigeons.)
So, those general ideas and themes went into this mix.
