Some Frank Turner music spam
My insomnia has kicked up lately (I'm blaming the rapid change in weather. It's like, 72F outside right now. At 11 in the morning. In Feb. Also, there's a tornado warning. Joy.) That means I have to use music to pump me up and get me through the day. (They frown upon almost falling asleep at work. Not big fans of spacing out either.)
It should be of no surprise to anyone who reads my journal (or my fic for that matter) that I'm a pretty huge fan of Mr. Frank Turner. (Also, damn Amazon, get The Second Three Years album in MP3 stock. It's been out in the UK for a while. Even Frank's asking if it's up on US Itunes yet.)
Anyway, getting back to the point, I'm going to spam with the Frank Turner songs that always light a fire under my ass. Which basically means 95% of the Poetry of the Deed album but there will be a little bit of them all.
I'll stop at 7, it's a good number. Esp since I could go on forever. (Seriously, I can't even name a fav. song. I could probably do a fav album (Love Ire & Song) but even then I'll still be "But wait, I really love...")
For other music I love and adore to get my ass moving see anything by Brian Fallon (his solo work, his stuff with Chuck Ragan, The Gaslight Anthem, The Horrible Crowes).
Basically, just go buy their album Elise. You won't regret it.
Hope everyone else enjoys their weekend. I'm spending most of mine in typical fashion (work) but at least I have Saturday off.
