Wasting time before work
Just a few random things:
For my fellow NC people: Don't know about anyone else, but I have tenative plans for going to Ren Fest on Oct. 15th. I'm asking for the day off, but if it's raining, yeah, not walking through a field of mud. For those who are planning on going THIS weekend, i.e. Oct 8-9, you can find coupons at Chick-fil-a, B&N, Party City, Auto Bell Car Wash, Donato's Pizza, and Jersey Mike's to get 2 adult tickets for $20 at the box office, Opening Weekend Only. For every other weekend, head to your local HT and get an adult ticket for $19/person. Prices have gone way way up since I last went to Ren Fest, but at least parking is still free.
They're doing a lot of theme weekends this time around, so if I can't get to the one on Oct. 15th, I kind of want to go on Nov 5th or 6th, when it's basically going to be a Celtic Music Fest of Joy.
Weather's been a tad colder than usual lately. Mom turned the heat on. I'm kind of bitching b/c the heat makes my allergies even worse, and I'm already having issues with the whole breathing without coughing something up thing.
House is all nice and decorated for Halloween, even though all our lights had to be thrown out. Damn you, random bits of water that get into my storage trunks. Still, the cobwebs look great and both of our cats look like they are part of the decor.
This time of year also means all the Monster Cereals are in stock. It's like a new bit of joy every time I see Count Chocula or Boo Berry or Fraken Berry.
And now, time to call the cab and get to work. Short shift today, which is good b/c we have no nursing coverage so mom is at her wit's end and can't wait to give Carrie Watching Duty to me once I get back from work.
