Oh, Sunday
Today was "blah." It's been a long time since I've worked a full 8 hour shift on Sunday and I forgot just what it's like. Suffice to say, I was more than half-way through my shift before I got my first break of the day. Le sigh. I'm happy for the hours but I just need to get in the mindset of busy-busy for work. We pick up business pretty much from here on out and it's only going to get worse.
In other news:
On Saturday I went and saw Bridesmaids with Matt. We both laughed our asses off. It's def. full of dark gross-out humor and not quite what you'd expect the movie to be from the posters and trailer, but I still enjoyed it. If only for the suprise Wilson Phillips mention. "Hold On" was my jam when I was 6 years old, okay? But anyway, if you can stand, like, actual toilet humor, you will enjoy the movie. It's def. for adults and not for anyone with strict high-collared "oh my virgin ears" moral standards.
Matt and I are looking into maybe-day trips sometime in late August/Sept. It has to be an actual day since neither one of us can really afford to miss work and can't afford even the cheapest murder-motel. So, we're thinking Asheville. We both want to go, and I know I haven't been there in a good 8 years. It's just such a pretty part of the country/state. And even though we can't exactly afford to tour the Biltmore, we'll def. be able to check out the city and the area.
Still plotting away at the Prince Penk crack-AU. I've started doing some research into the various royal families out there now, just to get a feel of how things work since my experience and knowledge comes form Holy Roman Empire-era, and I got to tell you, I am kind of disappointed we don't hear more about these families over in the USA. Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg and his marvelous beard deserve their own People tid bit alone.
Now to get back to writing before the thunderstorm knocks the power out.
