Saturday musings/music rec/mass sheepage
I promise I am still working on the results of the fanmix prompt meme, I had everything planned out and then I stumbled across a new band, The Head and The Heart and had to go, "Oh damn, well, this changes everything." Damn you, folk rock, you always do this to me.
Speaking of, I've also heard one of Frank Turner's new songs, that he was so excited about he leaked himself, (and then NME also leaked it for him), and yeah, it moved me like his music always does. It's called "I Am Disappeared" and you can get it from the NME site here. I cannot wait for his new album and am so pissed I'll probably never see him in concert again b/c nobody comes to Charlotte. (Indie acts go either to Asheville for obvious reasons, maybe Boone, and usually Raleigh.) God, I miss the Boston/Cambridge music scene so much at times.
Matt and I are having vague adventures today. We only know for sure there's a trip to Target in the future, but other than that, god knows where we'll end up. I just hope we don't see any ghost dogs this time. (And I have found more people have seen actual ghost dogs than previously thought. On the drive to TN I mentioned this to my brother, expecting to be mocked b/c, well, he's my big brother, and instead I got a serious response in return. Granted, my bro's not exactly known for his non-altered state of wind and he was full of Jameson at the time (hey, we each mourn in our own ways), but he has seen them too.)
And lastly because everyone else is doing it:
