That fic prompt meme thing

I left my notebook in my work locker, meaning I'm holding off on writing that Snafu and Burgie bromance fic for the modern-au b/c what's in the notebook was golden. It also contained a hell of a lot of notes. I don't want to mess with what I started there, as I really, finally, liked it. Damn you, my forgetful mind ( Read more... )

Booyah!

I really would want Dresden Files but I'm so regrettable far behind in the series. So I'll stick to Tolkien. Give me...Ecthelion :) I'm still rereading UT (busy) and I'm up to the gates. You know what? They are kickass and any movie that could get that right...

I'm going to come back with the Ecthelion ficlet, but omg, YES! The GATES and the Armor of the Houses. Those parts of UT and Lost Tales II, make me so grateful for Tolkien's long-ass descriptions. Seriously, just give me a movie about Tuor's time in Gondolin and I'll be happy. Come on, PJ, it is a major part of Tolkien canon. No Tuor in Gondolin, means, eventually there is no Aragon. It needs to be done. I mean, if he wants to work backwards, then yes, I can take a film of LotR, then the Hobbit, the Last Alliance, and the Fall of Gondolin.

Though really, I'd want a mini-series, but that's never going to happen.

Game of Thrones on HBO and Stephen King's Dark Tower series and/or movies is in the works. Don't abandon hope yet :D

Well, if Chris okay'ed The Children of Hurin as its own book, I can still hold out hope for The Fall of Gondolin. Gondolin really is, honestly, my favorite part of the Tolkien 'verse, outside of, you know, Elrond and Thranduil.

Welcome! I can't decide if I want to put this in the exsisting 'verse or the new one I've been poking out. I'm leaning towards the new one.
