Randomish update
I've posted the unbeated ficlet of fulff that got away from me for the Modern-Au here.
Now to actually sit down and work on the Snafu and Burgie bromance fic I meant to write for that 'verse.
In family health related news:
They put Carrie in her chair for a bit today. That's progress. Carrie, however, is beyond pissy at the moment. I mean, really, who can blame her, but the ICU nurses and my mother are just at their wits end. Hopefully Carrie will be moved to progressive ICU soon. Once she goes to progressive, that's one step closer to home.
Nicole got moved to a regular room today and they are sending her home tomorrow. She's doing much better, remembers very little of what happened, and hopefully will never get like that again.
In my mental health news: I came home to find that Pippin ripped open a four lb bag of kitty litter and spread it over three rooms. After a long day of work, walking home, and being in a general pissy mood anyway, I am certain you can imagine the words that came out of my mouth. I will be stepping on kitty litter for years.
Though, Dusty did enjoy thinking he had three whole rooms to use as his litter box.
In other news:
I am on SUCH a CSI kick now. I'm up to Season Three (my favorite) in the re-watch. I'll have to get season 9 and 10 off netflix, but, god, I used to love this show so much. I am very sad we shall never have another Lady Heather episode. It cracks me up how many actors have been on this show (like a late-teen/early-20s Joe Mazzello). It's kind of like the West Coast version of Law & Order in terms of actor experience.
Fat Tuesday tomorrow, then Ash Wed. which I have off. I'm going to try and get to Church, but at this point, I'm just praying I remember not to eat meat on Wed or on Friday for the next 40 days. I kind of wish I was still in Boston where I could find a Catholic church on every other block, but I can't even take a bus route to get to one in CLT. It's the only time of year where I'm a "good Catholic" so we'll see.
