Halloween went well. Carrie looked like the perfect TinkerBean. She still has some glitter on her face. I had a moment of fright when I found a daddy long-leg crawling on my arm. You know, I didn't think I could ever actually scream. I was wrong.

Next Friday is the Pub's 20th anniv. party. I'm debating over going. Like, yay, my family has run a business well for twenty years. On the other hand, well, it's my mom's side and we're not exactly close. Who knows, maybe I'll be working.

Family members have already started asking for christmas lists. I am horrible at this. I am good at the gift-giving, not so much the gift-getting. I don't like asking people to buy me things period, much less present-like things. However, fighting with my Aunt Krissy is like fighting with a brick wall. It's been declared I will recieve SPN Season Five and Castle Seasons 1 & 2, I've tried to argue it down to just one season of Castle, but I don't think I'm going to win.

Mom has claimed the right of buying The Pacific dvd set. I'm trying to tell her no, it's too much money, we have bills, I can give it to myself for my birthday, but, yeah, losing that one too.

And really, all else I have on my list are various history books and socks. I think my lack of creativity makes my mother sad, but seriously, things which make me happy: books, warm socks, music.

Also, when Dusty (one of my cats) licks Doublemint gum stuck in my purse, he apparently gets high as a kite. Who knew?

In other news:
Since it's posted everywhere else, first actual and complete story in the modern-day war-fandom au 'verse, In 4/4 Time, is up at larks_still_fly. I enjoyed it, as did a few other folks, so that's what matters.

Now back to discussing the mythos of Dead Like Me with Matt. We're debating over what the show could have been if it was Reaper-focused and not just George-focused. FML, why don't have any Dead Like Me icons. Esp. one with the "Mason, Mason, Mason" line. Or some Roxy.

dusty, tv, castle, family, dead like me
