So, The Paicific won best mini-series, which is pretty damn good since I was worried we were going to get a Gen. Kill repeat. I love you PBS/BBC, but not when you mess with my HBO mini-series. I know there just aren't enough to justify it, but I really wish the Emmys would seperate the awards for Best Mini-Series and Best TV Movie. I still can't believe The Pacific got zero acting noms. I'm not happy about them losing the Writing or Directing categories, but honestly, really, if voters have to judge a complete film vs episodes of a mini-series, 8 times out of 10, the film is going to win.
They actually surprised me this year. Not so much that Mad Men won, but more all the awards for Modern Family and Jane Lynch's win for Glee. Also, go Jim Parsons and Archie Panjabi. And wow, Top Chef beat out Amazing Race. And it still cracks me up that no one dare cut off Al Pacino.
Overall, not as painful to watch hosting-wise as this past Oscars, but eh, Jimmy Fallon did an okay job, I guess.
Lastly, Five Years since Katrina, and still so much to do. Nothing more can really be said that hasn't already.
