For reasons that I blame on certain people and from watching far too much of PBS' "Broadway: The American Musical," I am currently watching Fame on youtube. The original. Not the remake. Or the tv show. I'm also fighting the urge to dig out all my musical soundtracks. Also, Patrick Stump really needs to record a version of "On the Willows" from ( Read more... )

Fly lists are weird. My aunt got asked if she was Mexican. She appropriately went "WHAT?" According to the system, she was not a US citizen but from and born in Mexico. Right...

Are you serious? Even my little sister has seen Band of Brothers. Every time it comes on tv my Dad manages to find it. I'm shocked Shannon. I thought it's even better than Saving Private Ryan.

Hmmm...never considered the Soviet actions to the German citizens in that light...you totally understand why sooo...how does that even connect to the Japanese action in Nanking? I fail to see the connection...or I guess it's cause I never really saw the Soviet actions as bad. Well then, there you go. It's a world of difference I say. I would have never thought of putting the two side by side...

I am not a military historian, at all, and therefore tend to avoid any and all things, including film, which deal with it. It just doesn't interest me and has always been background to my main interests. Everyone in my family is pretty much the same way, so, eh, it kind of makes sense that I haven't watched it until now. Also, I tend to avoid things for a long time when people go, "OMG, you have to see this." That is why I still have never watched a Star Wars film all the way through ( ... )
