Three little birds

Normally I hate Bob Marley and the Wailers covers with the passion of a thousand burning suns, but Brendon Urie's acoustic take on "Three Little Birds" is actually really damn good and makes me excited to hear what he and Spencer are going to put out with Future-Panic!/no!. Though, as stated below, Brendon could probably sing the list of crap in a Jell-O pudding box and I'd love it. I really do love his voice.

Fucking downpoured today. I'm getting so tired of rain. Rain and cool temps are normally love for me, but not when it's been like this for months now. I would not be surprised if the depression rates have skyrocketed in New England. The region is certainly losing money from lack of tourism since it is always fucking raining. The good news is I'm only using my A/C for hours at a time, some days not at all, so my electric bill is staying low. August has yet to rear its ugly head though.

As I went through all the books I brought up here in the move from CLT I am dismayed to realize I left all my copies of The Phantom Tollbooth at my mother's house. Somedays you just really need to re-read your favorite Children's Lit and it makes me very sad that I do not have a Milo or a Tock to read about right now. I'm sure Thomas Crane has a copy in its stacks, but since I am almost positive my mother stole my copy in CLT, and my original is currently held together by rubberbands and paperclips, it may be time to invest in a new one. I have three copies of The Hobbit and four copies of The Lord of the Rings and at least two copies of all the Harry Potter books, so I think it's okay to have three copies of The Phantom Tollbooth. Why yes, I do admit that I have a book problem. No, it does not help that I know the location of at least five used bookstores.

Other happpy making things: Ferngully is still awesome all these years later.

patd, music, books, movies, real life, phantom tollbooth, !/no!, panic at the disco
