Okay, so, first off my thoughts and prayers to Farrah Fawcett and her loved ones because she had a damn hard, long, and public struggle with cancer but...
I am really fucking shocked that Michael Jackson is dead. Like, part of me is going "How is that even possible?" and the other part is all "Say, what?" I mean, it's Michael fuckin' Jackson. King of Pop. Wacko Jacko. An honest-to-god legend in his own time. And look, for all the bad and scary shit that can, is, and will be said about him, there is no denying the talent he had. His musical creations are legendery and so many pop and R&B artists have tried and failed to match what he's done, did, will have as a legacy. I mean, even looking at what the Jackson 5 created is jaw-dropping and I have yet to meet a "pop" album I love more than "Off the Wall" and "Thriller," though "Purple Rain" comes close. Fact of the matter is, he did some stupid things in his life, and his death is a really big shocker, but damn, that man was talented. I just, yeah, wow, still can't believe it.
I am now going to play me some "Smooth Criminal" and watch me some "Thriller."
