sort of green
I have a stye on my left lower eyelid. I did heat compresses yesterday, tried to make do with warm water compresses from paper towels during work today, and have currently moved to a teabag. Must thank mother for forcing me to bring the variety pack of black teas with me when I moved up here in 2006, or I would have been SOL. My face kind of hurts though and I really, really hope the stye is gone by next monday. Also, never falling asleep with make-up on after a late night again. Never.
Oh, and tin foil, boiling water and baking soda really does work wonders on removing tarnish from silver jewelry. It's just been a weekend of home-brewed remedies for me.
EDIT: For future note:
While Irish Breakfast is, according to my box, supposed to be the most powerful of the black teas, I have found that Lady Grey does a much better job of working on the stye...and smells better.
Edit, the Second: And really, what the hell is it with all the TW Jack/Ianto fanfic writers and their inablitiy to use lj-cuts when posting fics? It makes it really hard, and annoying, when trying to read a multi-chapter story for enjoyment when it takes 5 mins to load a page b/c an author can't be bothered to put in a quick and painless lj-cut. If it was a drabble, I really wouldn't bitch, but we're talking decent-sized multi-chapter fic. I don't care if it is in your personal writing journal, for the sake of your readers, current and future, employ the l-cut for crying out loud.
