Title: Make Believe Pairing: House/Wilson Rating: General Spoilers/Warnings: Season 6 up to 'Open and Shut.' Angst. Summary: House comes home and Wilson is there.
I so felt for House in that ep. Seriously. As much as I love him, Wilson is so daft not seeing how much he is hurting House. He pulls him in, then pushes him away. :'(
I just wanted to give the poor guy a hug at the end of Open and Shut. :(
Wilson's a lovable idiot isn't he? 'You always hurt the one you love' and all that. He does pull him in and then push him away, definitely. That's why I wanted to place moving in together, the proposal, and the organ one after the other. I think looking at it that way, you couldn't blame House for maybe having a bit of hope at that stage.
Yeah I know, it only makes sense that House would be incredibly upset after all that. Although, I'm not counting the proposal because it was really only a prank: Surely the best cock-blocking tactic I've ever seen. But, I'd definitely counting the flat that Wilson bought for the two of them after his liver donation and House's famous 'If you die, I'm alone.' And then Wilson goes through all of what we've seen, pulling House in and all ... just to slap him in the face and make him move out within a matter of days? He really and truly wasn't thinking. I really don't think he thought that one through. Well. Or, possibly because he is blind when it comes to House's affection for him. Must be that, no?
lol yeah we won't count the proposal. I think Wilson would surely have to know that House cares very much about him. The 'Wilson' episode for example. But he's obviously blind to the extent of those feelings. There's a sort of pattern too, between House's behaviour when Amber came into the picture and now Sam and I definitely don't think Wilson sees that.
The pattern is the same, which is why I think Wilson would be copping on by now. Then again, he is so used to House's pranks, teasing and other logic that .. well, maybe it really is like him not seeing the forest for all the trees. (Does that saying even exist in English? I'm not sure right now.) We need to make him see. Somehow. Or rather House needs to. Most of the time he can sort of hide his jealousy with other means. Like trying to get into the neighbours pants himself when he actually - maybe - only wanted to prevent that Wilson doesn't get there first. To me it certainly looked like that. And a lot more people, too. Why doesn't he see that all of House's innuendos are just his way of showing how much he loves Wilson? Blind, blind Wilson.
That we do! Iconlove, I say! XD I have to say, it's probably one of the few that I use most frequently. I truly adore it, House lets us see how he feels. <3
Yeah, that saying makes sense. It's almost as if Wilson needs someone from the outside to take him aside and go: "I think that man's in love with you." I guess Nora was that person but like you say, because he was going after her as well maybe Wilson didn't see it. I agree, I don't think House was interested in her, just interested in keeping her away from Wilson.
With all the innuendo flying around this season, you would think that he'd get the hint!
House has a look of love in your icon. No doubt. =)
Yes, yes and yes again. Someone does need to pull Wilson aside and just say that. Until that happens, fanfic will have to do. I wanna be bold and request that, actually. Might post that as a prompt somewhere. Unless you wanted to, of course. ;P
Yeah. I thought he would, too, but then Sam happened. :(
I like the look of luuuuurve alright. I just named it 'The Look' .. XD - Your icon's pretty close as well though.
Ahh that sounds pretty tempting to write. ;) I'm just not sure who exactly should be that person. Actually I had been working on a longer story where I had Thirteen having a word with him. That one had a tricky plot that I was trying to work around so it would make sense. lol.
'The Look' is a great name for it. I'd give that name to the one Wilson threw House's way in Black Hole too. XD
Doesn't it? I think I have a couple of plot bunnies but am seriously not really talented when it comes to writing. I wrote a couple of West Wing fics a while ago, and that's that. They were pretty short, too..
Anyhoo. Yeah to determine who should have a word with Wilson is a tough one, but I think that's worth debating. Thirteen would make sense. I can think of a reason or two why she'd feel inclined to do that. Possibly Chase. Definitely not Foreman, no? I dunno.
Ooooh, black hole... I will certainly never forget THAT look! {sigh} Gosh that was the hottest thing on the show, EVER! XD
I can only ever seem to write shorter fics too. I think it's because I edit a lot. >_<
Well I'd ask you if you want to share your plot bunny but then I can't guarantee I could write it. And then it's like a request and I wouldn't want to let you down! lol. XD
It's funny because even in the show, it seems like Thirteen and Chase might have their suspicions about House and Wilson. Foreman's probably too indifferent. ;p
Very good piece though. So true.
