I really like these three things but they don't seem to go that well together sometimes. If some of you are wondering why I bothered to call you at 2am on tuesday night / wednesday morning it is because my bike had its front tire (which was cable locked) liberated and I was saddened and frustrated by this and was hoping someone could pick me up and drop me and my newly converted unicycle off at my house. As it turns out, late tuesday night is not the best time to try and call folks so I caught a cab home and it all worked out except my beloved form of transportation is a little handicapped right now.
There is not too much point is sharing this story except as a reminder that even if you are not leaving you bike over night, leaving it somewhere late without a lot of people is risky and the results can be sad. I think the two lessons can be, A) "keep your bike with you or lock it with people around at night at all time" or... B) "learn how to do wheelies really well". I open to floor to your voting as well as option C) suggestions.
p.s. The And One show was really fun and arguably worth a front tire but honestly I would rather have both.
p.p.s. The bike wasn't locked near the DNA. It was parked at the Moscone Center which is apparently a very lonely place at tonight.
p.p.p.s Yes, I should have known better but I sort of thought the security at the Moscone Center would have covered things.
