Tonight's Dinner

Yesterday while we were at the grocery store, we happened by the seafood section. (Purely by accident, I assure you.) I noticed that there was a bin of sea scallops on "Manager's Special!" I learned some years back from someone who worked at a grocery store (*cough*bodybagz95 *cough*) that this meant they were on the verge of going bad. I checked the sell-by date (today) and snagged them- four BIG scallops for under $4? Sweet!

Brian sauteed them with butter, garlic, scallions, & some black pepper while I made toasty cheesy garlicky bread out of French bread, olive oil, garlic powder, provalone, & a sprinkling of pepper. We heated up some Classico sun-dried tomato alfredo sauce, cooked some rotini, and plopped it all together with a sprinkling of parmesan. Also, we had some salad-in-a-bag with ranch dressing on the side.

It was delicious.

I was a little dubious about how the scallops would go with the sauce, but it was *perfect*. And it looked awesome, so I wanted to take a picture to share it with you all. Unfortunately, the battery in my camera is dead (BOO!!!) so I had to make do with the built-in camera on my computer.

You're all so lucky I care about you enough to take pictures of my food to share with you.
