Homeland Security.
First of all I'm going to admit something. Yes, I'm a Conspiracy Theorist. Now before I hear any of the bullshit that I've heard hundreds of times before, I'm a Conspiracy Theorist... prepare yourself... with sources. Yes, sources. I'm not saying the American government is out to get me, but if they were... they have several laws on the books over the several decades to easily get me by my short hairs. Yes, my friends, laws and it's only gotten worse. With the advent of Homeland Security and the gross paranoia (Yes, gross paranoia even for me) that it has infested this culture with, we have become more of a mockery of a free society than the color-coded Terror Warnings have been. To give an idea of why I think our freedoms are being violated by Homeland Security and (don't snicker) the Patriot Act:

A review, which is fairly factual, but again slanted. I don't feel comfortable with this, do you? I could walk away from this and just let you read those links and my point will have been made. Our Constitution is based on freedoms. It says, "Yes, you can do this," but it never says, "No, you can't do this". This document is probably the most positive thing anyone has ever put out. It ensures we have the right to vote, to speaking our thoughts and worshipping whatever invisible being we want too, among other freedoms. Now we have not just one Act, but two, telling us we can't or we shouldn't or if we were, we'd be watched. No, I'm not happy with that.
Oh and by the way, a patriot in this country is historically a fighter who fights for one thing: Freedom from Tyranny.
