AAAAHHHHHH
Ok so if ever there has been a place that meant more to me than the piece of the globe that it takes up I would say that place would be Camp Dennen in Cape Cod. I have been going to this camp ground since I was 3 years old and many of my best memories are of this place. well unfortunately it belongs to Diocese of Massechusetts. So last year the diocese wrote a letter to the Manager of the camp and told him that they would be selling the camp to a contracter who wanted to turn it into summer condos!!!!! and to make things worse he told Mr. Blackwell (camp manager)not to tell any one about it, you see he didn't want any trouble!!!! So of course Blackwell told two or three key regulars at the camp and by the time the sun set everyone who would care knew! They tried doing everything to keep it from closing right done to every one buying time shares of the property, but to no avail. :-( So this is the last summer of one of the most peaceful, amazing places on this earth, in my opinion. The Arch Bishop or something is going down the day after labor day to desecrate the chapel on the property!!! The worst thing is that its looking like I wont be able to make it down there to say good bye.
So heres my thoughts, my mom told my that you could rent one of the smaller cabins for $35 a night. So is anyone is up for taking a road trip to Cape Cod!!! If any one has any other ideas on how I can possibly make it to mass preferably for the weekend of the 11-13 but any ideas would be welcome.
