I can't believe that Carter actually killed my boys... I think I cried more out of anger than anything else. He really has no idea what the hell he's doing any more. This has pretty much killed my hopes that he'll be able to pull off a suitable finale, even with Mulder there. Poor Frohike, Langly, and Byers...

I still don't understand why. It was so completely unnecessary. Hopefully, in future, in the finale or films, they will make Obi Wan-like appearances;)

I think it was just a bit of overkill (pardon thee pun)on their part, the producers or whoever probably want the show to go out in a blaze or glory. But they've already killed off so many of the bad guys, shouldve just left the rest of the cast alone.:(

It really just feels like further evidence that they've run out of stories to tell. It seems killing off a character (or a few in this case) is the only thing they can come up with. Very frustrating.
