Detroit High School Walkout Needs Support!

Right now, 40 high school students at the Detroit Melvindale High School,
attempted to walk out as part of the national day of action on immigration.
The students were stopped by the Dean of Students, Shannon MacDowell, who
threatened them with a 3 day suspension.
Students are being separated and taken individually to detention, and their
parents were called to the school. The situation is very tense, with
reports that the
administration of the high school is being offensive and intimidating.
It is not illegal for students to walk out of their school.
