Summary: He decided to settle down.
It was a cold winter day in Washington as Krusty settled into a chair in his apartment. He reached for the book he was reading: Poulette, Fifi and Colette in the Countryside: An Adventure. After a while, he smiled at the antics of the three French hens as they explored the barnyard filled with chickens, goats, pigs, ducks and sheep. That gave him an idea for a new Dungeons and Dragons game set in a tavern where adventurers came to rest after their travels. He needed a tavernkeeper who cooked, sold potions, bought whatever the adventures wanted to trade and gave advice as needed. He finished writing and closed his eyes to imagine the tavernkeeper. He was a muscular man in his early fifties with flame red hair and a twinkle in his hazel eyes. Behind him was the tavern sign: a wooden signboard with a rising phoenix covered in shining red, gold and purple plumes with the words Phoenix Tavern in silver letters below the phoenix. He closed his notebook and headed into the kitchen for comfort food. He make a grilled cheese sandwich and heated up a container of tomato basil soup. Afterwards, he headed back to his chair and wrote as ideas popped through his head. Finally, he closed the notebook and headed to bed where he dreamed of the Phoenix Tavern with its owner, Kermit, who was a retired adventurer and had decided that running a tavern was all the excitement he needed.
