Good Riddance to the U.S.S.R.

I'm back in the U.S. of A.!

So far I've worked once at the high school, once at a bar, played a game of wiffle ball that ended in a walk off grand slam by Joe Hodgson, spent about three days with this man's best friend Kevin Edward Lava, skateboarded in my street and thought about building a nice box, went to Maine with this man's best lover Alexandra and 2/3 of my family, watched a complete Red Sox game on tv, played 18 holes of golf with my favorite uncle and then 18 more the next day with another uncle (he's cool too), saw all of my cousins on the Kelly side, went to Keene to get paperwork for my criminal background check in preparation for my next and final semester which will be used student teaching at Souhegan High School, began the process of transferring my credits, was taken out to a meal by Mr. Bob D. (the sweethaht), went to the Pheasant Lane Mall with Bob W., Maura, Kev, and Roger, saw Mission Impossible 3 and am ready to see X-Men 3, tried to make lists of things to do, stacked a bunch of wood in my backyard, written a few messages and emails with friends across the ocean, and more!

While I was sad to leave France, I'm happy to be back. I'd like to keep up my productive flow and defer a bit of it to creativity. I was told this upcoming semester could be very demanding, but I plan on living with Alix in Burlington for the month of August and so far I won't be working and will have plenty of time to read and write. Also, Colleen and I will be going to Morocco to see Erin for 12 days, for which I'm gratefully lucky.

Since the sub coordinator isn't calling me (maybe I blew it last time) I've been able to sleep-in these days. But I can't let that turn me soft.

Please tell me if you'd like to hang out or where you are living so I can know if it's feasible. I'm in Merrimack for most of the summer, except August, and often in Boston for the weekends. There's been all kinds of reflection and motion for me, which I expected in France, continuing in these States. Maybe it's some form of catching up with being gone four months, though I don't think that's a very long time. However, staying in bed until eleven is a long time so the time is ripe to roll out.

p.s. I've neglected posting news of France, and about my time there, on this journal. So if it's our main means of hearing up on each other and you are interested in those newses just ask and I'll be happy to share. I don't like sharing most material things (food, toys, space, people, goods), moreso when they are scarce, but I always like sharing ideas, stories, and conversations. And as I recently learned, I have a desire to share experiences too.
