I feel as though I'm in a constant state of settling in, which I'm not sure is any different than when I'm in the States. The skateboard terrain here is great, but I don't have a board and am not willing to buy one or suffer the consequences on my feet. Rennes has a metro, I've heard/read that it's the smallest city to have a metro, and it's quite nice to travel around. I'd like to share all sorts of things and show pictures, but a combination of laziness, lack of writing/pictures, and time better spent doing things with people have made this a slow process. Making new friends can be difficult when you speak like gordon parker at the age of 6 in French. And making English speaking friends can be rough because they're never as compatible with me as my friends in the States, plus I'm trying to hang out with French people, though I already covered the difficulty in that. Anyhow, I think I'm going to try mass emails about my time here, maybe once a week, so if you're interested just tell me your email address.
