Toronto Day 3
Waiting for Richard's second panel at 12:30 and to pick up my pic with Misha. No time to be nervous like last year. A hello, a quick hug--okay I totally stole it--a pose and done. Misha's panel yesterday was totally hysterical. He also crashed Matt and Richard's panel, which is why I tell newbies to go to all the panels because you never know who will show up. Saw Mark in the lobby with a Creation staffer yesterday after Richard and Matt's panel. I think like Richard, he likes to run around unattended and talk to the fans and hates being herded. He even encouraged us to talk to him if we saw him in the hotel. I can understand why J2 don't do it; too many fans who don't know the meaning of personal boundaries, but Matt, Julie, Sebastian, and Richard are very approachable and willing to talk to the fans. I don't talk about this in RL because 'civilians' don't get it, but it's a chance to show our appreciation of the show and the actors and they love being able to return it on an in-person basis. Mark loved talking about Firefly, Dr. Who, and Battlestar Galactica and about Crowley going darker this season. Richard loves talking about Band of Brothers and his admiration of the real life men the series was based on and how wonderful if was working with Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg and how lucky he feels to have had the opportunity.
Okay, I've got to go, Richard's panel is starting soon. If I don't get a chance to post before I head home, I'll catch you guys on the flip side.
