:Sigh: I just need to vent. No need to read or comment
It never ceases to amaze me how callous some people can be. I could write a long and scathing entry about people who don't give a crap about anyone else and are willing to tromp on the most helpless people to have a little extra money in their pockets. What really hurts is some of these people are family. What pisses me off the most is people how make statements without doing any research and taking all their info from the talking heads.
One example? Work. Today one person was fired because the head of our division had a grudge. When the doctor who was her protection left last Thursday, guess what? She was let go today. Three other people were let go because they were making too much money and will probably be replaced with people fresh out of school who are desperate for money to pay off their student loans. The only reason I'm not concerned about my job is because our division is already short-handed and we don't even make a living wage as it is. But at this rate I can't see the agency surviving another five years.
I can't blame the company for everything. The state government is once again shoveling money over to people who don't need it, because those people should be able to get jobs and help themselves. Pretty hard to do when the big companies keep sending jobs overseas and don't have pay any import taxes on those products to ship them back. But hey, that's capitalism which means it gives them the right to do whatever the fuck they want because you can never have too much money, right?
