Better late than never . . .

When J and I watched 'The French Mistake', it required very little dipping into fandom craziness, but for this I had to explain Chuck and Becky, the Winchester Gospels, but not J2 or slash or Wincest. Although I have a feeling before the season is over, I will have to explain slash.

To explain the tinhat? I compared Dean (OMG Sam would *never* get married) to the fangirl (Why would Jared get engaged to *Sandy*, yay! he broke up with Sandy, OMG get engaged to *Gen*, and OMG marry her so quickly!) and explained that while some of us wore our tinhats quite loosely, unfortunately some fangirls have theirs pulled down to their ankles.

I love watching the show's color palette. The bedroom was painted red--Danger! Danger!--while the living room was painted an acid-trip lime green totally in keeping with Sam's trip down Becky's rabbit hole. While usually I don't mind tied-up Sam, this was just a bit too creepy for me, with both Becky and the 'Misery' shout-out. That is one seriously fucked up movie.

I'm glad that Becky tried to redeem herself, and I could understand her reasons for going over the line, but I'm also glad that Sam didn't pat her on the back and tell her it was okay even though he could relate to the loser/freak thing. I wouldn't mind Becky attempting to take up hunting, or even hook up with the Ghostfacers. Hmmmm. Any takers on that plot bunny?

Crowley! I do like the beard. And even the King of Hell has morals! Love it! It was a gimme that he was going to help Sam and Dean, but I have a feeling he's going to get even more involved whether he likes it or not.

Now I'm going to snug down my tinhat and bake Dean a pumpkin pie from scratch . . . after I watch 'House' and 'Castle'.
