What a great ep!
We got a little backstory on Rufus and Bobby's past. Not enough for my backstory hunger, but I'll take it. I still want to know who the mysterious 'she' is. Wife? Mother? Daughter?
Jim did an excellent job tonight. I was giddy with joy when I saw Bobby all cleaned up in his FBI duds. I'm sure they messed with his voice electronically for his possession, but still, creepy. Plus the end scene with Bobby pouring the Blue Label on Rufus' grave.
And the worm. Gave me shivers when "Star Trek: Wrath of Khan" did it. Hasn't lost its effectiveness all these years later.
Eve's speech to the trucker before she mpregged him? Guys, we might have a serious problem here.
I knew Samuel was going to die sooner or later, (we'll miss you Mitch!) but once again the writers blindside us and has Sam do the deed. I wonder if he'll feel much regret about killing Samuel when he was uninfected once he has time to think about it. Did he think Samuel was a dead man walking no matter what once Dean put a bulls-eye on him? Will he think he was too quick to pull the trigger because he was newly re-souled or because there's still some dark place in him? The writers haven't been very talkative about whether Sam still has Azazel's stain on him. Would Cas have known when he checked for Sam's soul?
And didn't Bobby and Rufus sound like Sam and Dean?
Rufus: So you want to work this together?
Bobby: Only if I can drive.
Rufus: :Mocking laughter:
Awww! Rest in peace, Rufus. We'll miss you too.
