Day 21 - Favorite ship
Those of you new to my flist, let me tell you something you probably have already figured out. I've never been an OTP woman. No matter what fandom I land in, I love to mix and match. I'm not slash exclusive. I do love some het every once in awhile with slash (White Collar--any combination of Peter, Neal, and Elizabeth), or without (Burn Notice--Michael/Fionna). I simply can't live a PB&J sandwich lifestyle when there are gourmet goodies all around. But that's me. I could list dozens of ships I love, but in the end I'll pick the darkest fic to read first.
Enter Alex Krycek. Out of 202 eps of The X-Files, Krycek appeared in 24. Yet he had a major impact on the mytharc of the show. You were never sure what side Krycek was on, or if he knew himself from moment to moment. Fandom called him 'the little black dress' for X-Files fic. One of my first X-Files fics (Krycek/Scully) put me in touch with heart_cries. She's not only made art for many of my fics and my default user icon, but lured me into LJ. To her I am forever grateful, because this is my sanctuary and amusement park.
