Day Four - Triumphant Return

Summary: Jan comes back to Riverfell with Bella and Pepper in hand and the promise of glory at his fingertips. Despite a few blips in the plan, everything has gone smoothly... until Willow smells Bella's blood and rushes to attack with Chase on her heels. That confrontation is narrowly avoided with some power-throwing on Chase's part, but the real trouble begins when Chase realizes the girls have been brought to Riverfell. His first plan is to claim that the girls are to be handed over to him. This plan... doesn't work. Especially not when the commotion draws the vampire twins Alec and Jane to the scene. There is more tension as Jane interrogates the obviously-human Bella, but the question is abruptly ended when Chase orchestrates Pepper's escape. In the confusion, Bella is also give a chance to escape by Chase. Pepper escapes with a knife in her thigh, and Bella escapes as well while Jane unleashes her fury on Jan and Chase. Chase is suspected for interfering, but the twins leave in a frustrated huff, giving him the chance to escape back through the portal.
When Jan stumbled onto the other side of the portal with Bella still in hand and a good guess that Pepper might have fallen in as well, he was beyond pleased. When he had first started to manipulate the blond child he had been hopeful for good results, but even in his most optimistic moments he hadn't imagined things would go this well.
His lady would be so pleased. As would the ruler of the castle, he expected.
Send a loyal dog to fetch a ball, watch him return with a log.
Despite how fast his heart was racing from that last-minute battle with Edward, Jancion allowed a slow smile to creep across his lips.
He had won.
Now, hopefully he could keep things from being screwed to hell in some other fashion.
