Summary: Illyria and Medusa - Demi-Gods from Earth Realm, though at different periods of time - are summoned to Riverfell to aid with the battle. Though Medusa has been pulled directly from her slumber in the Deeper Well, Illyria has been pulled from a time where she was resurrected, and is not pleased to have her time on Earth cut short. She stalks off towards the castle to find some answers, while Medusa heads off for the barracks.

Illyria runs into Nenael in the Black Castle, and is impressed to discover there are angels here. Where before she thought that shew as top dog, she now understands that perhaps she is fighting in a game where the rules are a bit different than she expected. She's not pleased by this. After Damion and Nenael answer a few of her questions, she stalks off.

Being in the Deeper Well was an experience all on its own. She had been asleep, but with full awareness of the time that passed and the sheer mundaneness that came with it. Could she have moved, an eyeroll on more than one occasion would have been a common occurrence.

There was little excitement beyond the occasional check up from the Gate Keeper every millennium or so. Usually the face that peered into what she came to think of as her coffin changed each time, and Medusa used it to pass the days. So unfamiliar with unplanned changes in scenery was she that to suddenly find herself in a place that was no brighter than the depths of the Deeper Well took a moment of adjustment. It wasn't until a voice near to her spoke did Medusa really snap out of it, the snakes on her head slipping to life with an audible hiss.

"I should have known I would not be the only God summoned here."

Medusa turned her head sharply, faced with a sight that was both familiar and unfamiliar to her in the same moment. But it couldn't be...

"Illyria," Medusa said, somewhat coldly, though the word came out as almost a question. "You're looking..."

"Human," Illyria said flatly, her voice every inch disgusted. "Crippling and demoralizing. I can hardly bear it."

Medusa rolled her eyes, and smirked that she was finally able to. "How saddening for you."

"My armies were defeated by the Wolf Ram and Hart," she scowled. "The pup, lamb and fawn in my time."

"Defeated?" Medusa smirked. "Truly walking among mortals now."

"Silence," Illyria snarled. "I will not be spoken to with such insolence."

Medusa contented herself with a bemused expression. "What world is this?"

Illyria was silent for a moment, as if contemplating whether it was worth answering. "I am uncertain," she said finally, and though she was regretful, it did not sound as though she were embarrassed or ashamed about this lack of knowledge. "It is not Earth, nor death - it is a world between."

Medusa frowned - she had not before been to a world-between, and didn't understand the significance.

"The castle behind me is a holding ground," Illyria continued. "I have seen people coming and going from it. I believe it has answers. I am going."

That said, Illyria turned, her eyes and movements set on entering the castle.

Her words may have been a parting statement, but Medusa did not take it as such. Scowling at the rudeness - but not really all that surprised - she moved on in the direction of the barracks. Perhaps she would check in at the castle later.
