(no subject)
well... something very interesting has just happened about 30 min. ago
I set off the burgler alarm at our church.
It scared the crap out of me.
I was walking in, minding my own business, and was going to pick up some music the organist wanted me to transpose for this coming sunday. I had gotten in the door (using a key mind you)and was just about to enter the sanctuary when i heard this really quiet beeping sound: beep....beep....beep....beep(which progressed to a)beepbeepbeepbeepBEEPBEEPBEEP (then) WOoOoOoOoOOOOoOoOoOoOooOoo(the last on three consecutive notes and about to crack my skull).
My dear mother had failed to warn me that I needed a security code to get in the building. Wheen she came to punch the code in, we found her number had been blocked, yes blocked. so we calmly but ever so quickly tried to get into the office to call someone... no can do b/c as soon as we opened the door we were greeted with the highest yet "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" and it was like in cartoons when the characters are blown backwards by extreme sound.
seeing as how we couldn't really do anything, we just ran back to the blazer and, well, now we're at home and the siren is STILL going.
oh yes... that is the highlight of my day
