New Arts!!
Hey guys. Sorry it's been a little while since I put up a new piece of art but I've been working stupidly hard on this one. This is my entry into a contest that's being held over on DeviantArt. I'll put the art and explaination under the cut so as not to flood your pages.
This project was a lot of work that took several weeks. The challenge was to put our SPN boys over in one of our favorite movies. There's been PLENTY of amazing entries so far so I admit I'm not holding my breath on winning but I'm stupidly proud of this anyway. I'm hoping it's fairly obvious by the title that the movie I picked was Labyrinth. Yeah, I'm an 80's kid. I, like many young girls, discovered a strange fascination watching David Bowie bounce around in those "tight enough to show his religion" pants. <3
I decided to do Cas as Jereth. OMG, the HAIR. ROFL! I couldn't resist.
Dean is dressed as Sarah. I can only imagine he's none to happy about this.
Sam, for those who are confused as to why he has horns here, is supposed to be Ludo, the giant hairy monster that Sarah befriends. Why did I pick Ludo, you ask? First because it's a muppet movie so there's a limited number of characters I could use. Second, Jared is HUGE. Ludo is HUGE. 'Nuff said. And Third, both Jared and Ludo have the wild excess of hair thing going on. I keep imagining poor Sam being entirely unhappy when he finds he has massively long ears... Heheheheheh.
As for Bobby, yeah, I made him Hoggle, the grumpy little guy who helps out Sarah along the way. I felt a little bad at first for painting Jim Beaver in such a ridiculous outfit...that was, until I had to paint the man's beard. Damn you, Jim for having a beard!! >__< Beards are stupidly hard to draw!! So much time...so much hand cramping. *facepalm* Yeah, every hair was individually drawn on. Sure, I know there were probably better ways to do it but none I used looked good so I did it the hard way. So yeah...wear that silly outfit, Jim. It's payback for my crippled hand. >__<
AAAAAAAND if you've managed to read all that long and over done artist's comment, well, then thank you and have a cookie. And now, on to the art:
